What Parents & Students Should Know

Parents and students should know the following:

Students need to read for 30 minutes a day and log it on our digital reading log in the ELA section under “Weekly Reading Log”

Students must use Chrome as the browser for all assignments and platforms.

Students should use/download google slides and google docs when completing ELA assignments so they can easily type right on the digital text box and submit their assignments.

Remember, every week, students must complete 45 minutes of reading and 45 minutes of math in iReady by Friday.

Reading and Math

Reading resources for our class (415) include:

Epic! It’s a great resource for students to read with all different genres and levels. It’s great for me, as the teacher, because I can see what books they have read, for how long etc. I can also assign books and tasks on there which I will be doing soon!

Razkids and iReady are also great for reading and we have used it all year in class.

What we are using in Math:

Pearson (Envision Learning) in which all students are synched to it through google classroom.

iReady again can be used in math as well for their individualized learning pathway and growth.
